Micropore tape is surgical tape that is sold in 1/2-inch by 10-yard rolls. The size of each actual piece varies depending on the size of the eye. The tape can be purchased at beauty stores, drug stores or department stores.

Time Frame

Eyelash extensions last for a surprisingly long time. Because the extension is applied to the actual lash, the extension last through the entire cycle of the natural eyelash it is applied to. This cycle generally last between six and eight weeks.

Micropore tape has many sought-after features. The tape is latex-free, so those who have the common latex allergy can apply it to their skin. It is also hypo-allergenic. When adhered to the skin it feels weightless. It looks natural and comes in white or tan.

Solutions

A major problem when applying eyelash extensions is keeping the top eyelid separated from bottom to cleanly apply the extension. It is important to apply eye gel under the eye so tape does not stick to the delicate under eye skin. If the tape sticks it could cause wrinkles or irritated skin.
