Passive solar systems are a great way to heat an individual building, such as a single home or office building. Passive solar systems work by using the energy of the sun to heat up water running through tubes by glass panels and then sending this water down through the walls of the building, into a reservoir below the building, and then back up to the roof to be reheated. After the initial installation, this kind of system makes heating significantly cheaper, plus it's very environmentally friendly.
