    1. Monitor

      • One of the main parts of any personal computer is its monitor. PC monitors are cathode ray tubes that have controls and settings located inside a plastic casing. Monitors are measured diagonally and come in a range sizes, from 13 inches y to 20 inches, or larger. Monitors can be adapted for screen contrast and brightness, and picture quality is determined by dot pitch, resolution (number of pixels), refresh rate, phosphors type and other factors.

      Motherboard

      • The motherboard of a PC houses the logic circuits that connect all the components of the computer. In the motherboard you will find the memory, CPU connectors, CMOS, video devices, BIOS, storage devices, chip sets, sound devices and much more.

      Memory

      • Another vital component is the memory. The term memory defines storage that has almost instant access to the computer's central processing unit (CPU). Random Access Memory (known as RAM) is the main type of memory used for PCs. RAM has many purposes, but its primary role is to store drivers and programs within the computer.

      Buses

      • PC buses connect all devices of the motherboard so they are linked. The concept of the PC bus is to both extend and link the signals of the system. PCs often have various different types of buses, such as address buses, memory buses, system buses, CPU buses and expansion buses.

      Chip Set

      • The PC's chip set operates the majority of the motherboard activities and roles. The chip set also interfaces most of the motherboard's parts. It also determines what components will be supported by the PC system. Some of these components include Universal Serial Bus Support, type of L2 cache, amount of CPU slots and PCI specifications.
