    1. Significance

      • A towable RV is obtainable for most vehicles. You do not have to own a heavy-duty truck to tow many types of towable RVs. This means you do not have to purchase a special vehicle to tow your RV, unless you want to. You can purchase a towable RV that can be towed by bicycles, motorcycles, cars, trucks, vans, SUVs, jeeps and so on. As long as the vehicle has the capability to tow the RV you select, you do not have to buy a new one.

      Function

      • A towable RV offers temporary living quarters. It is used for housing away from home. A towable RV can be employed as a full-time residence. It can be used any place you want that you are able to put it. The towable RV is towed to a location and some stay on the vehicle and others are detached. It is utilized for camping, traveling, hunting, fishing, sporting or other events and additional things.

      Types

      • The towable RV comes in different forms. The vehicle used to tow can divide these types (as detailed previously). Its style, features and options can further categorize each one. You will find several models to choose from for most types of towable RVs. The major types of towable RVs are fifth wheels, travel trailers, tent campers (folding campers or pop-ups), truck campers (camper shells), bike campers, toy haulers and park models.

      Identification

      • The fifth wheel towable RV is normally the most costly and weighs the most. A heavy-duty truck with a special hitch in the bed of it must be used to tow a fifth wheel. A travel trailer is like a fifth wheel regarding dimension and roominess except the travel trailer is usually smaller and weighs less. The pop-up camper is the least costly of this size, easy to tow and store. A truck camper is small enough to fit on top of a pickup truck. The camper can be taken off of the truck and stored when not being used.

      Features

      • A toy hauler is a customized travel trailer (fifth wheel) that has the front area for living quarters and the back for "toys" (ATVs, wave runners, dirt bikes, among others) storage. The towable RV saves you from having to use a separate trailer. A bike camper is small enough to be pulled by either a bicycle or a motorcycle. A park model camper is a towable RV, however. It is most often towed to a location and connected to utilities. It is used for long-term camping and is spaciously designed.
