The Wachovia credit card rewards program is called Wachovia Possibilities Rewards program. When you make qualifying purchases with your Rewards card, you earn points to be used toward this program. You must register your card into the no-fee program before you can take advantage of the benefits. You can also visit your nearest Wachovia financial institution. You can find the locations by looking on the Wachovia.com website and clicking locations. You will be asked for your address, city, and state to find the closest location near your home. You can either call the branch or go in to apply for a credit card. If you have a checking or savings account with the bank, you may be able to apply online.

Wachovia was formed in 2001 when First Union corporation and Wachovia corporation merged and became Wachovia. Wachovia started in the late 19th century. On June 16, 1879, William Lemly moved his bank from Salem to Winston and opened his doors, becoming the new Wachovia National Bank. He started business with a capital of $100,000. In 1893 in Winston, Francis H. Fries started Wachovia Loan and Trust Company. The two financial institutions joined together in 1911.
