What is Procerin?
Losing hair can be a traumatic experience for men. Often, hair loss damages the self-esteem and makes a man look years older. The manufacturers of Procerin say their product is effective for treating male hair loss.

Identification
-
Procerin, which comes in both tablet and serum form, is a treatment for male hair loss. The two products are designed to be used together to fight hair loss. According to Procerin's manufacturers, both treatment components are completely natural, and the two-pronged approach to fighting hair loss is more effective than other methods.
Features
-
Some hair loss treatment methods can be used by both genders. Procerin, however, is designed to meet the unique needs of men who are losing their hair. Procerin contains vitamins, herbs and minerals that inhibit an enzyme, 5 Alpha-Reductase (5AR), in the male body that changes testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT). According to Procerin's manufacturers, DHT is responsible for hair loss in men.

Time Frame
-
According to the makers of Procerin, a man must undergo treatment for at least 1 to 2 months before significant results become obvious. This is because hair grows at a slow rate, typically about 1/2 inch each month. While Procerin users can choose just the tablets, manufacturers assert that using both the tablet and serum helps to bring about results faster.
Effects
-
According to the manufacturers of Procerin, very few people experience side effects when using this treatment for male hair loss. A few men have are reported mild stomach upset while using the tablet form. However, this side effect may be alleviated by taking the tablet along with food. While some hair loss treatments may cause sexual side effects, Procerin does not cause such problems. Procerin is not approved by the FDA, as the agency only has approval criteria for prescription drugs, not supplements.
Considerations
-
According to its manufacturers, Procerin is best used for men between the ages of 18 and 35. The manufacturers assert that a man's hair is still in the growth phase at this age, and using the treatment may provide an increase in the amount of hair as well as its thickness. Procerin treatment may still provide help for older men whose hair is no longer in the natural growth phase, but it may only help to keep the hair an older man still has rather than stimulating new growth and increasing thickness.
