Prepare a "To Do" list of what needs to get done. Divide it up among family members. Involve friends to share in the help. In return, you can help them with their spring cleaning.

Spring cleaning is the best time to get rid of things. Have three boxes for each room in your house labeled give away, throw away and put away. Fill the boxes accordingly. Avoid keeping unnecessary things. If you haven't used it in a year, toss it.
-
Begin with one room at a time. Take all the furniture out if possible. If this is not possible, then move the furniture to one side of the room. Wash the walls from the top down. Next, clean all linens, rugs and floors. Make sure not to neglect the base board. Run a washcloth or rag over the top of the base board to collect dust.

Buying cleaners and paper towels can make cleaning the inside of your house expensive. Here's some ways to save. Buy a large bottle of ammonia, a large bottle of bleach and two 1-quart spray bottles. In one bottle, put 1/8 of a cup of ammonia and the rest with water. Mix well and use this for all-purpose cleaning. Fill the other bottle with 1/8 of a cup of bleach and the rest with water. Mix well and use this for disinfecting.

Store away winter clothes by size and gender. Label each bag with a size, for example, size 8 (boy). It makes it easier when winter comes and you need to dig them out again.
