Las Vegas is one of the premiere destinations in the country for dining. From decadent buffets to five-star restaurants, Sin City has a meal to suit every taste. A Las Vegas diner can indulge in everything from succulent seafood to sushi to chef-prepared vegetarian entrees. Just a walk along the strip will transport a diner on an exotic food excursion, as she walks past restaurants featuring Mexican, Japanese, American cuisine and more.

From Quick Guide: Restaurants in Las Vegas

    Types

  1. There are several types of dining destinations in Las Vegas, from five-star restaurants, to cheap eats, to buffets. But, Las Vegas is best known for its gluttonous, all-you-can eat dining extravaganas: the buffet. The best, and generally most notable buffets can be found along the Las Vegas strip in its top hotels. At the MGM Grand, guests feast on upscale American fare. At Caesars Palace, guests are treated to a scrumptious Sunday brunch. At the floral-coated Bellagio, guests dine luxury-style and fill their plates with sushi, seafood and Kobe beef. Head to the Rio for the ultimate seafood buffet, and to the Flamingo for a shrimp and steak feast. If you're in the mood for French food, take a trip to Paris Hotel for an all you can eat French buffet. 2. Features

  3. If you're in the mood for five-star fare, Las Vegas is a great place to get a dose of upscale treats whipped up by notable chefs. Most of Las Vegas's famous hotels along the strip house five-star restaurants. Take a trip to the Bellagio and dine at Le Cirque for French fare. Or, head to the Wynn Hotel and enjoy a romantic dinner at Alex, an upscale French restaurant that serves up exotic meals. Walk over to Sushi powerhouse and celeb hot spot Nobu at the Hard Rock Hotel for decadent sushi rolls. Then,
take a stroll down to Mandalay Bay to Strip Steak, the glitzy hotel's notable upscale steakhouse.
  4. Warning

  5. Dining like a high-roller at Las Vegas's top restaurants and ultra-fab buffets can be tough when you're on a budget, or you've spent too much money at casino tables. So, for budget-conscious diners, Las Vegas offers a variety of cheap eats. Los Angeles' famous hot dog hut, Pink's, can be found in the Aladdin Hotel along the strip. Chili dogs and crispy fries are served up to hungry diners for cheap. In-N-Out, a popular fast food burger restaurant chain can be found around Las Vegas, serving up its "double-double" burgers and "animal-style" cheeseburgers. Head to the food court at Excalibur for cheap hot dogs, pizza restaurants, and McDonalds. Grab a bite at the Backstage Deli at the Luxor Hotel and dine on a cobb salad.
  6. Considerations

  7. While you're vacationing in Las Vegas, try to get a full Las Vegas dining experience. In addition to the cheap eats, try to experience at least one buffet and one upscale restaurant. Aside from the buffets mentioned, there are cheap and expensive buffets all along the strip. So, take a stroll and eat up.
  8. Misconceptions

  9. Although Las Vegas is known for its food indulgence, there are also health-conscious restaurants where diners can chomp on salads, rather than steak and shrimp. Head to vegetarian restaurant Empress Court at Caesar's Palace, or Tamba Indian Cuisine and Lounge along the strip. If you're into organic cuisine head to Canyon Ranch Cafe at the Venetian Resort, Hotel and Casino.
