Prevention/Solution

Follow these steps to break bad habits.
Make a conscious effort to keep your mouth closed when eating. You will have to keep the thought in your mind in the beginning to ensure compliance. Do it at home also, even when you are alone, just to get used to keeping your mouth closed.
Go to the bathroom after every meal and brush your teeth to get annoying food particles. This will keep you from picking your teeth at the table.
Learn to wait your turn in a conversation. Have a good friend help you with this one. Go about a normal conversation and whenever you interrupt, have the friend point it out. Learning exactly what you are doing will help prevent it.
Practice meditation, yoga, or take an anger management class. Depending on the extent of your anger issues, any of these will help. If you are just snapping because you are under stress then meditation and yoga should help you to relax and solve the problem. If you are mad all the time and your anger gets away from you to the point of hurting others, definitely take an anger management class.
Ask your doctor for help to stop smoking. There are many options available to help break this bad habit. Going cold turkey doesn't work for everyone. If you try it and don't succeed, try something else. Nicotine gum and patches are an alternative. The doctor can prescribe medications that will help. Even hypnosis is used. Do whatever it takes to break the habit.
Limit the number of drinks you have. Start out by not drinking when alone. Then when you go out with friends, only have a set number of drinks. Stick to your limit no matter what and you'll soon get used to it.
Count calories or carbohydrates to help with overeating. You can also use portion control if you'd like. Anything that makes you conscious of the amount of food you're eating will help control this bad habit.
