This facility began the growth of this type of destination for families across the country. Circus Circus started as a circus-themed tent with a casino in 1968 and it had rides and games for children and adults alike. In 1972, the hotel was added. The Grand Canyon slam, a water park expanding over fi5 ve acres with river rapids, was added more than 20 years later in 1993. Today, it stands as one of the most popular places to stay on the Strip.
