The origins of The Cheesecake Factory can be traced back to Oscar and Evelyn Overton. Evelyn was known for her famous cheesecakes. She and her husband set opened a store in Detroit in the 1940s. In 1971 they relocated to Los Angeles to open The Cheesecake Factory. Evelyn's delicious desserts continued to thrive. In 1978, the couple's son David took the business to a new level by opening the first Cheesecake Factory restaurant in Beverly Hills.

Today, The Cheesecake Factory's menu features over 200 items including pastas, salads, pizza, seafood selections, steak and sandwiches. In addition to their delicious appetizers and main courses, The Cheesecake Factory offers over 50 varieties of cheesecakes and desserts.

The Cheesecake Factory menu features a wide selection of appetizers from chicken pot stickers, fried calamari and egg rolls to quesadillas, buffalo wings and nachos. Specialties include burgers, a fried portabello sandwich and several flavored chicken dishes. Eggs and omelettes are available all day. The restaurant also offers a special Sunday Brunch menu which includes french toast, a variety of hashes, and steak and eggs.
