Clubs That Play Oldies Music in the Philadelphia Area

Fans of oldies music have an array of choices when it comes to finding clubs in the Philadelphia area that play oldies tunes. Located in the heart of downtown Philadelphia, the Tritone Bar offers diverse music selections from the 1960s, '70s, '80s and today. Tritone Bar offers music lovers a number of musical styles courtesy of live local bands such as Bobby Zankel and the Warriors and DJ services courtesy of Scott Parker. There is also a vintage jukebox on site filled with classic rock tunes ranging from Elvis to The Beatles. All guests must be 21 and up and there is a $20 cover charge as of February 2011.

The Tavern on Camac's Piano Bar offers renditions of piano classics from yesteryear. This gay-friendly establishment caters to an upscale clientele and features local jazz pianists such as Deena Underwood, Nile Webber and Michael Ferreri. The exposed brick walls and candlelit dance floor offer a relaxing and romantic feel. Tavern on Camac also features a full dinner menu with offerings such as strip steak Milano and shrimp scampi in addition to a nightly happy hour at the bar. As of February 2011, there is no cover charge and guests must be 21 and up.

Featuring multiple dance floors, the Shampoo Nightclub offers a variety of music genres. With dance rooms catering to certain music styles, the Shampoo Club's White Room and Fountain Room feature music from '70s artists such as Bob Marley to '80s bands such as Duran Duran. The Shampoo Club offers a full bar and guests must be 21 years old or older. As of February 2011, Shampoo Nightclub is open on Sundays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays and there is a $15 cover charge.

The Voyeur Nightclub is located in the heart of Philadelphia's downtown club district and offers a range of oldies classics ranging from cover bands honoring The Doors to Elvis impersonators. Voyeur Nightclub has multiple dance floors and a 360-degree video display above its dance floor. The club also features two full-service bars offering foreign and domestic beers on tap, an extensive wine selection and an assortment of mixed drinks. As of February, 2011, Voveur Nightclub is open seven days a week to guests 21 and up and there is a $15 cover charge.
