Coca-Cola was first developed by John Pemberton, a pharmacist in Atlanta. The pharmacy customers sampled the beverage and all agreed the product was special. Then Jacobs' Pharmacy put it on sale for 5 cents a glass. Asa Griggs Candler bought the rights to the Coca-Cola product and transformed it from an invention to a business.
