A snow cone stand is an independent vending cart that sells snow cones in a variety of flavors. A snow cone is crystallized or shaved ice that can be flavored with cherry, strawberry or blueberry flavors, and then served in a paper or plastic cone with a straw or spoon. Snow cone stands can be found at most public recreation areas, such as amusement parks, city parks, theme parks, circus events and zoos.

    Features

  1. A snow cone machine has it least three mixing compartments on the top of the machine for creating three different flavors or unique blends of an icy snow cone. A snow cone stand will consist of a snow cone maker on top of a serving cart. The serving cart contains an area underneath that holds the different flavor mixtures and a water hookup for the ice maker that will shave the ice. Bags of cubed ice are added to the top where the machine crumbles and shaves the ice before the snow cone flavor is added.
  2. Identification

  3. A snow cone stand is a vending cart or a stand-alone cart that has a tall refrigerator type structure on top of the stand. It requires both a water and electrical hookup.
  4. Types

  5. There are two different types of snow cone stands, the commercial stand that is built into kitchens or traveling vending carts. The former are used for large customer needs like those in restaurants or at fairs. The latter are portable and used for rentals for social events such as graduation parties, weddings and reunions. The portable snow cone stands are typically more user friendly than the commercialized type of snow cone stand.
  6. Function

  7. The snow cone stand serves crystallized ice flavors to thirsty patrons. The snow cone stand makes it convenient for both the server and the patron to exchange the snow cone. Snow cone stands are raised up to above counter top level, making it easier to grab supplies and serve the snow cones.
  8. Benefits

  9. The benefits of having a snow cone stand are that the snow cone and the stand simplify the process of creating the snow cone. The stand holds the flavor bottles and makes filling the snow cone tank an easy process. The added benefit of having a snow cone stand at a party is that it is a great way to make snow cones outside without making a mess in the house.
  10. Effects

  11. The effects of a snow cone stand are that it can generate revenue for an event. Everyone enjoys snow cones and with all of the flavor varieties available there is the perfect taste for even the most discriminating snow cone lover. A snow cone stand with a snow cone maker will create cool refreshing desserts for hungry guests and patrons.
  12. History

  13. Samuel Bert sold sweetened shaved ice to patrons in the first snow cone stand at the Texas State Fair in 1919. He later went on to invent an actual snow cone machine a year later and began selling the machines to consumers worldwide. The snow cone machine was popularized in 1979 with the Snoopy Snow Cone Machine that provided a cheap and easy treat for Snoopy fans and snow cone fans alike.
