Hole in one memorabilia is any type of golf memorabilia relating to a hole in one. This means that a golfer made it from the tee to the hole in one shot. It's a rare event, which is why there are so few collectible pieces out there.

From Quick Guide: Sports Memorabilia

    Types

  1. There are several types of hole in one golf memorabilia available. There are those pieces given by the golf course to golfers who turned the trick on its course. These things include trophies and plaques with the individual's name on the front. Then there are pieces the individual creates on his own, such as a display case for the golf ball. There are also pictures of the golfer holding the ball or even the tee used in the shot.
  2. Features

  3. Hole in one memorabilia is most often characterized by the ball used in the shot. The ball often goes in a glass display case. Even when the memorabilia is in the form of a photograph, you'll usually find the golfer holding the ball in one hand. The pieces that show the course or hole are also popular. The one thing these pieces have in common is that they highlight the exact moment or event just after it happened.
  4. Considerations

  5. Keep in mind that hole in one memorabilia relating to famous golfers such as Tiger Woods or Jack Nicklaus are worth far more money than those pieces belonging to a lesser known star.
  6. Benefits

  7. Hole in one memorabilia has the added benefit of protecting an individual's memories from time and the elements. A variety of things can happen to a golf ball or tee when it's left sitting on a shelf. That same piece when encased in glass or Lucite is protected from dirt, dust and even sunlight. Those pieces related to famous golfers also have the added benefit of holding their value for longer periods of time.
  8. Geography

  9. The most valuable types of hole in one memorabilia are those that come from a major tournament or famous event such as a PGA Tour event. Collectors are willing to pay more for a piece relating to a Ryder Cup champion, but they'll also pay quite a bit for those pieces that came from a famous course. Pebble Beach is one of the most famous courses on the PGA Tour, which explains why memorabilia from this course is worth more than those from a smaller course.
